Responsibilities
The Patient Care Tech, under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy.
- Patient ratios are determined by various factors, including volume and acuity of patient needs. Extenuating circumstances may determine a need for lower or higher ratios -
Qualifications
Education
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred
Work Experience
- No experience required
- 1 year of patient care experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- BLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Preferred
- Certification from a Patient Care Technician program Preferred
