About the role
The SPANX merch assistant is an exciting opportunity to join the team that drives the product, innovation and growth strategy for the SPANX brand. As a merch assistant you will support a category team in building a compelling product line that fuels our overall brand strategies from concept through launch. To fit in well with this team you are someone who's passionate about product, curious about what drives the consumer, works well in a diverse team and is detail oriented when it's time to get the job done!
This role is based in our Atlanta headquarters, requires weekly in office work Monday-Thursday, and reports into the Vice President, Merchandising, Intimate Apparel
You’ll love it because you will…
- Manage accurate and timely merchandising system data within your category.
- Participate in key product development milestones by owning precise note-taking and meeting recaps.
- Own sample management and coordinate set-up for milestone meetings.
- Lead cross-functional tracking, assessment, and reporting of customer review and return data for your category, identifying opportunities and coordinating executional details of pre-season consumer wear tests.
- Support weekly and seasonal business reviews by hindsighting a portion of the category.
- Conduct regular competitive landscape reviews to identify business opportunities and inform strategy.
We require…
- 1–2 years of experience in merchandising, product development, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Identifies the information needed to address an issue; gathers information from routine and non-routine sources to support decision-making; assimilates new information quickly; masters new techniques easily.
