PART-TIME FULTON FRESH MOBILE MARKET ASSISTANT
(Employment for this position is not to exceed a maximum of 29 hours per work week)

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in a related field required; supplemented by one year of broad work experience, preferably in a field related to senior services; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Specific License or Certification Required:
Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities: Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all county or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position.


Examination:
The examination will consist of an evaluation of education and experience, accomplished by analysis of the application. Application must document that the applicant possesses the minimum knowledge, skills, education and experience as listed to be rated as qualified. If selected, an official, accredited college transcript is required, at time of employment, for all degrees/course work used to qualify for this position.

Essential Functions:
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Conducts outreach activities to encourage citizen engagement/participation: visits churches, health centers, neighborhood associations, events, senior residences, or wherever seniors may be; distributes program information and announcements at various events; and collaborates with partners to market programs and services.

Recruits Community Partners: researches potential partners and schedules meetings to discuss NORC and possible collaborations; provides referrals when participants need services and/or information not provided by NORC; designs and coordinates community outreach activities with community partners and volunteers.

Manage occupational therapy and safe homes program: coordinates dates and times with Occupational Therapist, and those who need the service; arranges initial Occupational Therapist assessment; accompanies Therapist; and provides client with recommendations; obtains Assistive Devices as needed and delivers.

Assesses the need for/coordinates home repairs according to availability of funds and volunteer participation.

Processes a variety of documentation associated with department/division operations, within designated timeframes and per established procedures: receives and reviews various documentation, including occupational therapy recommendations, State NORC recommendations and documentation, and budget documents; reviews, completes, processes, forwards or retains as appropriate.

Prepares or completes various forms, reports, correspondence, and other documentation, including attendance reports, activity reports, transportation vouchers, and Safe Home assessments; compiles data for further processing or for use in preparation of department reports; and maintains computerized and/or hardcopy records.
