Responsible for the overall management and direction of The Home Depot's $1.5 million state of the art television broadcast and video production facility, which produces 300-500 video/ broadcast projects annually and broadcasts to over 1900 sites. In addition to setting the departmental goals, strategy, and programming direction, the Director is the initial point of contact for all internal video and broadcast needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for department metrics and workload management.
- Lead the management team in setting departmental policy, procedures, and production/ creative standards to assure that HDTV is meeting the communications needs of our clients and supporting the
- business strategy of the company.
- Serve as point of contact for all video and broadcast needs for senior executive team.
- Work with internal clients and client service teams to determine
- communication needs and initiate effective video/ broadcast solutions.
- Determine initial project budget estimates, billing deadlines, and
- general project direction.
- Manage HDTV broadcast programming schedule.
- Responsible for the publication of the HDTV guide and other communication of HDTV programs and initiatives.
- Manage key high profile video/ broadcast projects.
- Responsible for developing strong working relationships with internal clients, senior management, and other CCEA teams
- Lead the creation and development of new programs and initiatives to support the communication needs of the company.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Typically reports to the Director Associate Communications.
- Accountable for the management of a department or functional group through subordinate supervisors/managers and for all
- personnel issues - including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

- A degree in Video Production, Communications, or Broadcast/ Television and or equivalent experience in a Television Production /
- Broadcast environment.
- Experience in managing a broadcast/ video production facility
- Solution oriented, creative thinker
- Knowledge of the retail industry a plus
