WHAT WILL YOU DO:
The Temporary Benefits Assistant provides administrative and customer service support to the Human Resources Administration-Benefits Department. The Benefits Assistant (Temp) will work closely with the Benefits team to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and University policies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and leave programs.
Serve as a point of contact for general inquiries related to benefits eligibility, enrollment, and plan information.
Assists with Benefits Orientation and annual open enrollment activities.
Assist with FMLA and ADA eligibility and processing.
Communicate professionally with employees, supervisors, and HR partners.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned to support HR Operations.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience; or a high school or GED and five years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
