A well-established and growing law firm in the Atlanta market is seeking an Associate Attorney with 0&-3 years of experience to join its litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney interested in developing a practice focused on construction law and complex litigation while receiving hands-on mentorship and professional development.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent legal research and writing skills, and a genuine interest in construction-related disputes. Attorneys in this role will work closely with experienced litigators on a variety of matters involving construction defects, contract disputes, project delays, risk management, and other commercial litigation matters.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and client meetings.
• Analyze contracts and construction-related documents.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal team members.
• Support senior attorneys in managing complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Georgia or eligible for admission.
• 0&-3 years of litigation experience (judicial clerkship experience will also be considered).
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Interest in construction law and construction-related litigation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Participation in Moot Court, Mock Trial, Trial Advocacy, or similar competitive advocacy programs.
• Prior internship, clerkship, or externship experience involving litigation or construction law.
• Demonstrated interest in courtroom advocacy and litigation strategy.
