Position Details

  • Role: Kennel Attendant
  • Status: Part-time
  • Salary: From $11.50 per hour, dependent on experience
  • Schedule: 20-25 hours per week, including some weekends and Holidays

Mars Hill Animal Hospital is looking for a part-time kennel attendant to help us provide the best care for pets staying at our hospital.


This position supports pets staying in both our hospital and kennel. Among other responsibilities, a Kennel Attendant:

  • Walks dog
  • Cleans dog runs/cages and cat cages
  • Feeds pets in the kennel
  • Maintains the overall cleanliness of the kennel and all areas of the Hospital
  • Laundry
  • Lifting over 50 pounds
  • Bathing Pets
  • Holding Pets for Medical Procedures
  • Checking in orders and restocking inventory

This position would be 20-25 hours per week and requires some Weekend and Holiday hours.


The Kennel Attendant position requires someone who has good attention to detail and understands the responsibility of caring for animals. This role is an important part of keeping our patients healthy and happy.


Candidates must be able to work weekdays, rotating weekends, and some holiday hours. The starting pay for this position is $11.50 per hour, dependent on experience.
