Job Description
The Building Services Coordinator will be responsible for developing, organizing, and overseeing daily section operations, which entails custodial services, rentals, landscaping, building, exhibit infrastructure, and managing of assorted contracts. The incumbent will be preparing budget recommendations and managing budgetary spending for custodial, rental, building operations, and grounds services. In addition, the position will be conducting hiring, training, performance appraisals, disciplinary processes, and termination recommendations.
Essential Duties- Preparing and overseeing scheduling of staff
- Reviewing requests for work orders and client's responses to requests
- Inspecting facilities and reporting on safety compliance, cleanliness, comfort, and repairs
- Authorizing purchases and ensuring proper materials, supplies, and equipment are available to complete tasks
- Overseeing contractors and services related to building, rental, and grounds operations, including work performed and materials utilized
- Ensuring contractors and staff understand the conditions, standards, procedures, and quality control necessary for the efficient running of the facility

- This job requires fingerprinting.
- This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
Grade
The grade for this position is a C42(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation, Health and Human Services, Senior Services, Construction Management, Hospitality, or a related field AND
- Four years of recreation experience, including two years of supervisory experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- Valid Driver's License from state of residency
- CPR Certification within 6 months
- First Aid Certification within 6 months
