Summary Description of Classification: This position manages the daily operation of the school district's warehouse facility. Receives, stores, distributes, and retrieves textbooks, instructional materials, supplies, furniture, equipment, and other materials used throughout the school system. |

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: & Comprehensive knowledge of warehousing and inventory practices; safety procedures; standard grades and qualities of equipment, materials and supplies; and standard terminology of the trade. & Know how to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment as needed. & Good organizational skills. & Excellent records maintenance, organizational, human relations, and communication skills. & Ability to plan, train, and supervise the work of others. & Ability to manage warehousing projects and develop short/long -range goal. & Ability to operate a personal computer. & Ability to perform manual work including lifting and moving objects. & Ability to develop and maintain records and files. & Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. & Ability to work independently without close supervision. & Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, vendors, school officials, and the public. & Ability to enter and retrieve data from a computer. & Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Education, Training and Experience: High School Diploma or State Approved High School Equivalency. Five (5) years of warehouse experience. Prior supervisory experience. Or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training that provides the required knowledge and abilities. |

Certificate and License Requirements: Must possess a valid Georgia driver's license, CDL and forklift license. |

Physical Demands: Tasks involve the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds).

Salary/Terms/Benefits:
- 239-day contract year; 8 hours per day
- Salary Grade: 127J (placement on salary schedule based on years of allowed related experience). Up to ten (10) years allowed. The stated salary range reflects the opportunity for pay over the course of the employee's tenure. The top salary is not a potential starting salary.
